Every motorist I have spoken to agrees that the junction at the top of Wraxall Hill is dangerous, especially for vehicles turning right. The main reason is the poor visibility to the left when travelling up the hill. This could be made far safer by squaring up the junction by trimming the central triangular island, allowing vehicles to approach at 90 degrees to the junction. At present, this manoeuvre is not possible for vans, motorhomes, or lorries because their length would block the downhill carriageway. Having contacted North Somerset Council, Nailsea Town Council, and Wraxall/Failand Council, nothing positive has been achieved.
