Solomon Commercials, which has been in the valley for 48 years, acquired the 7.5 acres of land to the north of its existing site at the Kingsway, in Haslingden, in April 2025. Alongside the production and warehouse building, a 17,600 sq ft flagship office facility and 175,000 sq ft external vehicle storage facilities. Mark Solomon, chairof Solomon Commercials, said: “From our humble beginnings as one man in a small unit in Bacup, we’ve grown to a team of over 450 dedicated people working together across our Haslingden sites. Despite this, Rossendale Council granted the plans full approval, but placed key obligations on the developer. Rossendale Council will also be given £2,000 towards its legal costs for drafting the agreement.
