A joint operation involving Ribble Valley Council and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) saw officers inspect 10 hackney carriage and private hire vehicles in the borough on July 21.
Eight of the vehicles were found to meet the required standards.
However, two vehicles were issued with delayed prohibition notices after faults were identified during the inspections.
The checks formed part of ongoing efforts to ensure vehicles used to transport members of the public remain safe and roadworthy.
Councillor Ian Brown, chair of Ribble Valley Council's licensing committee, said: "It's vital that vehicles used to transport people around meet the highest standards.
