Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire in an outbuilding measuring eight metres x four metres on Groton Street in Groton, near Boxford, at 4.46pm on Tuesday. On arrival, stations from Hadleigh, Nayland and Sudbury found the outbuilding alight. The fire was extinguished by six firefighters in breathing apparatus and three hose reel jets. Crews used short extension ladders to get to the roof of the building to strip away roof tiles. A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said that no casualties were reported and a stop was called at 6.10pm.
