Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called at 0.40am on Tuesday, August 4 to a fire in Sutton, near Rocks Barracks. (Image: Woodbridge Fire Station)The officer in charge could see the glow from the fire on approach, so requested a water carrier, due to the distance to the nearest fire hydrant. When they arrived, they found a well developed fire in a section of pine trees near a road. Woodbridge Fire Station and Ipswich East used to hose reels and one 45mm jet to bring the fire under control, with Leiston Fire Station bringing the water carrier.
