Plans to redevelop vacant land and unveil a new retirement living complex complete with 36 apartments is being recommended for approval. Local concerns were raised over the proposed redevelopment of the 0.95 acres (0.38Ha) site in Reydon, near Southwold with Reydon Parish Council and the Southwold and Reydon Society objecting to the plans, citing conflicts with the village's Neighbourhood Plan. Documents said: "The Teal Close Retirement Accommodation will provide a high quality scheme providing the area with much needed purpose-built accommodation for the over 60s." The proposed new retirement living complex would be two-and-a-half storeys in height. A planning report to councillors said the proposed L-shaped building will accommodate 36 retirement living apartments.
