Demand for high protein diets drives sales for pork and poultry producer

Cranswick said it reflects demand for its core products - pork and chicken - due to consumers’ prioritisation of "healthy, protein-rich and nutritionally balanced" diets.
Adam Couch, CEO of Cranswick, said: "We have made a positive start to the year, delivering volume-led revenue growth across the business.
Fresh poultry sales grew strongly, supported by recent capacity expansion at the Eye processing facility and the addition of new premium retail customers.
Domestic fresh pork revenue also rose, driven by double-digit retail volume growth, though export sales declined due to reduced demand from China and other global markets.
