Pakistan opener Abdullah Shafique produced a brilliant unbeaten 160 on the third day of the second Test against the West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval, helping his team secure a 43-run first-innings lead. The 26-year-old carried his bat throughout Pakistan’s innings of 387 after the visitors had earlier bowled out the West Indies for 344. His innings placed him among a select group of Pakistan batters to have scored 150 or more against the West Indies in the Caribbean. Only Hanif Mohammad, Wazir Mohammad, Majid Khan and Saeed Ahmed had previously achieved the feat. Warrican was the standout bowler for the West Indies, finishing with figures of 6-112 from 46 overs.
