Funeral arrangements for Brenda Fricker have been announced by her family. The funeral service will take place in St Catherine's Church on Meath Street, Dublin, on Thursday at 11 am. "It is with much sadness that I share the news that beloved actress Brenda Fricker passed away last night peacefully after a period of ill health," read a statement by her agent Phil Belfield last month. "Dublin born and bred, Brenda Fricker undoubtedly deserves the noun legend." Earlier this year, Dublin City Council announced that she would be awarded the Freedom of Dublin in recognition of her exceptional contribution to Irish arts and culture.
