At the August 4th meeting, the Piedmont City Council solidified positions in municipal court, hiring Jesse Moses as prosecutor and keeping Richard Couch as the public defender and Brent Morrison as judge. The group also approved a motion to increase the public defender and prosecutor’s pay from $600 to $800 per month. They did not approve $15,219 in of retiree bonuses and tabled a proposed contract with Comcast to gather more information.
