The company unveiled the zero-emission vehicle at its Colchester Delivery Office, further bolstering its position as the UK’s largest electric delivery fleet operator. The newest addition joins a fleet of more than 120 electric vans already operating out of the site. Now, nearly a third of Royal Mail’s delivery routes are zero-emission, with 44 delivery offices already fully electric. Stuart Murphy, Royal Mail’s head of fleet transformation, said: “Reaching 9,000 electric vehicles is a major milestone as we work to transform our fleet. Royal Mail’s widespread rollout of electric vans is part of its investment in the next generation of zero-emission vehicles.
