The Commissioner of Police in Taraba State, Moorkwap S. Dongshal, has charged police personnel to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force by demonstrating professionalism, discipline, and integrity in their interactions with members of the public. He also emphasised the importance of strict compliance with the Rules of Engagement and relevant operational guidelines, particularly Force Order 237, during police operations. According to him, the use of force must always be lawful, necessary, proportionate, and in line with established rules and regulations governing police operations. Dongshal reaffirmed the Taraba State Police Command’s commitment to the continuous capacity development of its personnel through regular training and retraining, in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police. The commissioner reiterated the Command’s commitment to providing professional, people-oriented, and effective policing services to the people of Taraba State.
