OPINION: Kendi’s latest book more of same old false racism charges against conservative viewsBeing against abortion, pornography, and DEI are all forms of “great replacement theory” ideology, according to Ibram Kendi. The Howard University professor’s newest book “Chain of Ideas” is likely to do well among liberal readers. The book is not dense on academic theories but takes examples from the news and uses them to support Kendi’s thesis, which is that “great replacement theory” is driving support for authoritarian leaders. Its success is unfortunate, because the book is typical Kendi fare, dressing up his antipathy toward conservative values under the guise of academic research. Beginning with the prologue, and acting on a hunch, I catalogued every time Kendi explained what “great replacement” supporters believe.
