Geely is arguably one of the big three Chinese brands and its expertise shows in the EX5. The car is very targeted for those wanting efficiency, comfort and lots of equipment at very affordable, by today’s standards, prices. As with every Chinese brand I’ve driven the driver assistance (annoyance) features are far too interventionist. The gear shift lever being on the steering column might seem odd but familiarity soon waves away any worries on that score.
