The Queensland Government is powering ahead with the first stage of the new Bundaberg Hospital, awarding the contract for the works to CPB Contractors. It’s one of the state’s largest health infrastructure projects and the announcement signals a key milestone under the Hospital Rescue Plan. Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Tim Nicholls said the Government was getting on with the job of addressing the previous Government’s so-called health crisis through the Hospital Rescue Plan. “The new Bundaberg Hospital is the largest health infrastructure investment ever delivered in the Wide Bay and will make it easier for people across the region to access world-class health services closer to home”, Minister Nicholls said.
