When we were kids growing up in Lynn in the late '80s and early '90s, news of Wyoma Square's Dairy Queen closing all to make way for an incoming Walgreens was devastating! There was no opening date then, but on July 20th, Lynn's Wyoma area Dairy Queen, after more than 30 years, had returned to a line of people waiting to enjoy. DQ has changed since 1990Growing up, Dairy Queen, now known as just (DQ) in Massachusetts felt like a rite of summer. Many of the old walk-up stands got replaced with bigger, sit-down locations that serve full meals, not just soft serve. I had the pleasure of taking my two sons to the new Lynn DQ over the weekend and we enjoyed Oreo Blizzards together.
