Ohio, August 5: World number 2 tennis player Carlos Alcaraz will not participate in the Cincinnati Open due to a wrist injury.
Tournament organizers confirmed Alcaraz’s withdrawal on Wednesday, stating, “Carlos Alcaraz has pulled out of the Cincinnati Open.
The main draw of the Cincinnati Open will commence on August 13 and run until August 23.
Earlier this year, Alcaraz withdrew from both Wimbledon and the Queens Club Championship in May due to ongoing issues with his right wrist.
During the event, he was seen wearing a brace on his right wrist, raising further concerns about his future participation in competitions.
