The Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved financing $2,568,403.50 for 13 tandem-axle dump trucks from The Citizens Bank at a 4.27 percent interest rate for four years during their meeting Monday. The county will be selling 13 currently owned dump trucks at auction in September. Lauderdale County Road Manager Rush Mayatt said the county currently has a guarantee of $1.8 million for the dump trucks the county will be selling at auction. The board also unanimously approved the purchase of a 2026 Chevrolet 2500 WT Crew Cab four-wheel drive vehicle for the road department in the amount of $53,908 from Southern Chevrolet, Inc.
