Luna County 4-H continues to stand with the best clubs in the state by annually capturing top awards at the New Mexico 4-H State Conference.
“Luna County 4-H proudly recognizes 13 seniors members who represented Luna County at the state conference, earning ribbons, awards and state titles through their dedication, hard work and commitment to excellence,” said Jack Blandford, team coach and Luna County Extension agent.
The New Mexico 4-H State Conference is a gathering of 4-H communities to pique the interest of youth in agricultural sciences and the vocational and technical fields of agriculture.
Agriculture remains a top industry in Luna County, and its 4-H youth will be a driving force behind its future.
“The accomplishments of Luna County 4-H members are a testament to the teamwork that defines the 4-H program,” said Katherine Turner, coach and Family and Consumer Sciences leader for the Luna County Extension Service.
