Scattered storms into Wednesday
['Janessa Webb']
WCCB CharlotteWCCB Charlotte
Tonight the overall severe weather threat remains low, a few stronger storms could produce isolated damaging wind gusts.
As the atmosphere heats up, scattered showers and thunderstorms will redevelop later in the day.
Some storms will once again be capable of producing torrential rainfall, frequent lightning, and gusty winds before gradually fading overnight.
Overnight temperatures will dip to around 70 degrees.
Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds, highs pushing the upper 80s, and another round of scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms developing as the heat of the day builds.
