Laundry detergents from Omo and Aldi have dominated in a new round of lab tests from consumer group Choice. In another key finding for laundry lovers, the tests showed powder detergents typically perform better than liquids or capsules. For front loader machines, powders from Omo and Aldi tied for first place, both scoring 82 per cent for performance. For top loaders, powders also proved supreme, with Aldi Trimate (66 per cent) and Omo Ultimate (62 per cent) again topping the tests. For increasingly popular laundry capsules, Omo was crowned king (76 per cent), followed by Dynamo (74 per cent) and Cold Power (71 per cent).
