Nagaland State Special Audit Agency Social Audit Unit officials and other participants during the fifth phase of the district-level social audit and public hearing at the VDB Hall in Zunheboto on August 4. The programme was chaired by Project Director of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Zunheboto, N Kupto Sema. Assistant Director of the NSSAA Social Audit Unit, Imlirenla Sanglir, in her introductory address outlined the objectives and process of the social audit, stressing transparency, community participation and accountability in the implementation of government welfare schemes. Sanglir also said that more than 73,000 job cards were deleted in the latest report due to mismatches in credential details. During the public hearing, District Resource Persons and Block Resource Persons presented village-wise social audit findings for Tokiye and Suruhuto blocks.
