Morung Express NewsDimapur | August 4The Nagaland state government’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) has reiterated its demand for a Union Minister-level interlocutor to lead the Indo-Naga political talks.
According to Kenye, who is also the PAC Member Secretary and a state government spokesperson, the state government is standing by a previous assurance from the Union government to look into the demand.
Kenye clarified news reports which stated that representatives from all political parties were invited to the meeting.
Queried on the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation’s (ENPO) stand on the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA), he said that it was not discussed at Tuesday’s PAC meeting.
While appealing for patience, Kenye said, “We are at the threshold of something pleasant, and hopefully that should answer our aspirations.”
