The Boston Police Department and the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office are being sued for not releasing video of the deadly encounter between a police officer and carjacking suspect. Lawyers for Civils Rights — a civil rights advocacy group — says the video showing what happened the night Stephenson King was fatally shot by Boston Police Officer Nicholas O'Malley should be released immediately. "Neither my office nor the Boston Police Department will be releasing any further evidence, including any body-worn camera footage to the public. The lawsuit from Lawyers for Civil Rights, a Boston-based nonprofit, is calling for the video to be released immediately. The DA's office, Boston police and O'Malley's attorney declined to comment on the new lawsuit.
