While it’s fast-paced, colourful, and fun, Hikarigasashikomo only occasionally, and briefly, congeals into something that might move a dancefloor. Across Hikarigasashikomo he explores using his own voice as a main sound source. ‘Omoi’ has soft vocal sounds bobbing on a percolating synth line, briefly forming a groove before untangling. As much as Hikarigasashikomo can feel like a puzzle, it is probably best swallowed whole.
