Principal Magistrate Lilian Nyabando allowed the extension, noting that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) presented a merited application given the gravity of the murder probe.
Detectives are probing claims of land fraud, vehicle theft, and malicious damage, offenses they tie directly to the killing of the AFRIMEB co-founder.
Investigators informed the court that they recovered a black Range Rover Sport valued at Sh15 million, allegedly seized during the eviction, from premises associated with Mulwa.
In court filings, the DCI argued that the suspects remain central to the active homicide probe and require deeper forensic analysis.
Ombeta noted that detectives had already seized the suspects’ mobile phones and could obtain any additional digital evidence through standard court orders.
