Luis Arraez made his Phillies debut. And on the first pitch from Phillies starter Jesús Luzardo, Nationals leadoff man Dylan Crews sent a ball the other way, to none other than Harper in right field. Harper, a first baseman since 2023, has moved back to right field for the rest of the season. And Luis Arraez, a three-time batting champion the club acquired from the San Francisco Giants, is now Philadelphia’s second baseman. Harper is on board with that plan as he eases his way back into right field, describing Hill as a “weapon” on defense.
