The crowd was riddled with TAI’s merch and many of their sister bands that rose to popularity around the same time. The lights dimmed to the yells of the excited crowd as the opener, Jon Walker, took the stage. After a small intermission and a long intro that had the crowd anxiously awaiting their arrival, The Academy Is… took the stage. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album Almost Here, they played the entire tracklist, taking 3 “detours” as Beckett told the audience, dipping into the rest of their discography. Assuring the audience that The Academy Is… was “back for good,” the band clearly loves their fans as much as their fans love them.
