Mumbai: The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday kept the policy repo rate unchanged at 5.25 per cent and maintained a neutral stance, in line with expectations. It also revised its FY27 projections, raising the growth forecast by 10 basis points to 6.7 percent and trimming the CPI inflation projection by anequivalent 10 basis points to 5 percent. “Growth, albeit resilient, is expected to be lower in 2026-27. The outlook, however, is hazy because of the uncertainties regarding south-west monsoon, El Niño, geopolitics and global trade policy. It will be the RBI’s endeavour that the trajectory for the rupee remains orderly, he added.
