Hornsby, Tamworth and Kiama councils will use grant funding to explore Purple Flag accreditation within their proposed SEP trial areas. The funding will support local working groups, community workshops and greater awareness of the Purple Flag framework. NSW councils and precincts interested in gaining Purple Flag accreditation can now register online to apply to join the program. Purple Flag is an international accreditation program recognising excellence in night-time precinct management. Expressions of interest for Purple Flag accreditation close on 18 August 2026.
