WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — Fayette County commissioners denied a rezoning request that would have cleared the way for an RV park on farmland in Paint Township, following recommendations against the project from both the county’s zoning commission and the township’s trustees. The vote came after a public hearing held that morning at the Evelyn Pentzer Meeting Room in Washington Court House. The Fayette County Zoning Commission had already declined to approve the rezoning at a May 13 hearing, and Paint Township trustees passed a resolution June 11 formally opposing JLB1 Properties’ application, the minutes said. Commissioners asked those in attendance for any additional comments before the vote and received no further input, according to the record.
