But before we officially say goodbye to summer, don't miss out on one of our area's favorite family traditions! Next Sunday, August 9, Boothbay Railway Village Museum is hosting its annual Children's Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it's always a fun way to spend the day with the whole family. Make sure Mom and Dad know the swimsuits and towels need to come along because the slip-and-slide and water fun are always a hit! There will also be train rides, barrel rides, games on the green, a moon bounce, face painting with Sherry Cases, and the Pollination Station to keep little ones entertained throughout the day. If all that fun works up an appetite, there will be food trucks and Nate & Ollie's Rolled Ice Cream available for purchase, so everyone can grab a bite and cool off with a sweet treat.
