JIM SPENCE: Can St Johnstone and Perth leaders show Dundee FC and city council what collaboration looks like?
['Jim Spence']

Could Perth be about to show Dundee how co-operation between the local football club and city council and planners can work to the benefit of the entire community?
The city of Dundee missed a trick years ago when city rivals Dundee and United agreed to share a 30,000-seater stadium at Caird Park, as part of Scotland’s bid to host Euro 2008.
It could also show the city of Dundee how such projects might be tackled with common sense and collaboration instead of delay and obfuscation.
The St Johnstone owner has also said he’s open to the idea of using Saints’ land for the Perth Leisure Pool replacement.
Dundee are well behind in their original timescale; plans to build the 12,500-seater ground were lodged with Dundee City Council in February 2024.
