Minnesota’s legal cannabis market generated approximately $26 million in combined adult-use and medical sales in June, bringing sales during the first half of 2026 to roughly $136 million. According to updated data from the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management’s Cannabis Market Monitor, adult-use sales accounted for about $17 million of the June total, while medical marijuana sales reached approximately $9 million. Medical marijuana sales remained relatively steady at between $9 million and $10 million per month. Minnesota currently reports 194 adult-use retail sites and 36 medical marijuana retail sites, along with 99 cultivation sites, 39 manufacturing sites, eight transportation sites and five testing facilities. Minnesota legalized adult-use marijuana in 2023, with possession and use by those 21 and older taking effect August 1 of that year.
