Taylor, Mizusawa and Luria win Virginia primary nominations

RICHMOND – Virginia voters chose nominees in key statewide and congressional primary races on Tuesday night, setting the stage for November contests in the U.S. Senate and two closely-watched House seats.
Shannon Taylor won the 1st Congressional District race by 53.11%, with 24,912 votes.
Her platform was focused on lowering taxes for working families, public safety, lowering utility costs and affordable healthcare.
Elaine Luria won the 2nd Congressional District race by 80.42% and 32,844 votes.
Luria campaigned on affordable healthcare, lower prices for working families, reproductive rights, investing in national security and addressing climate change.
