Applejack has unveiled Winnie’s, a café set along the waterfront of the Sydney Opera House inspired by the life of Winifred Atwell – the first woman to perform at the Opera House. The all-day venue is located next to Opera Bar and designed to welcome more visitors to the Opera House precinct. Sydney Opera House Chief Customer Officer Jade McKellar says Atwell was a true trailblazer and her “incredible performance” comprised a special part of the building’s history.
