(Beeville Police Department)BEEVILLE — A traffic stop conducted as part of the Beeville Police Department’s Operation Slow Down initiative resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine and the arrest of a Beeville woman on felony drug charges, according to police. Senaida Esparza of Beeville was arrested and charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1/1-B, 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams, and possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 2-A, less than 2 ounces. Under Texas law, manufacture or delivery of 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance is a first-degree felony. Possession of less than 2 ounces of a Penalty Group 2-A controlled substance is a Class B misdemeanor.
