Victoria hires new deputy city manager with 30 years of municipal experience

The City of Victoria has hired June Ellis as deputy city manager, where he will work under City Manager Jesús A. Garza and oversee several key departments, including public safety and human resources.
The city announced Ellis’ hiring Tuesday, highlighting his 30 years of municipal experience in executive leadership, financial management, strategic planning and organizational development.
As deputy city manager, Ellis will oversee the Victoria Police Department, Victoria Fire Department, Municipal Court and Human Resources Department.
Ellis most recently served as assistant city manager for the City of Beaumont.
