The purchase comes after GW and UHS closed their deal over the MFA Friday, transferring the practice’s clinical operations to CMG — a non-profit physician group UHS announced the creation of in May to take over the MFA’s clinical operations. Officials told The Hatchet last week GW will lease CMG “most” of the buildings’ space at 2300 M St. NW and 2150 Pennsylvania Ave. for CMG’s clinical operations. “Clinical services will continue at 2300 M Street, with the clinical practice leasing the space from GW. GW in May announced they reached an agreement with UHS to transition the MFA’s clinical operations to a new nonprofit physician group to end the University’s financial support for the practice after years of continued losses.
