Franklin County’s boys golf team opened conference play Monday with a victory on the road versus Great Crossing Monday, winning 153-169 at the University Club Wildcat Course. FCHS’ Myles Williams earned medalists honors with a one-over par 36, with Noah Casey (38), Cason New (39) and Patterson Graves (40) rounding out the scoring. Brooks Young (41) was the fifth man. Playing as individuals, Porter Peale (38), Sutton Stewart (40), Zach Broughton (42) and Jayden Slattery (47) all set nine-hole career best scores.
