Kashmir Rail Link Hallmark of Railways’ New Era: LG

J&K LG Manoj SinhaSrinagar– Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday described the completion of rail connectivity from Kashmir to Kanyakumari as one of the defining achievements of Indian Railways’ transformation, saying it reflects a new era of infrastructure development, national integration and economic progress.
Addressing 69 officer trainees of the Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Lucknow, during their field visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha said Indian Railways has evolved far beyond a passenger transport network to become a key pillar of the country’s development.
“Electrification at record levels, the expansion of the Dedicated Freight Corridor, the realisation of the dream of connecting Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the launch of world-class Vande Bharat trains, and the modernisation of stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme are hallmarks of Indian Railways’ new era,” he said.

The interaction was attended by Rahul, Course Director and Professor (Traffic Planning and Costing), along with officials and faculty members of the Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management.
