A maximum of 28 cars will be available for purchase prior to the start of next year’s Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia season. Porsche Motorsport Australia is currently receiving expressions of interest, with the new 992.2 model 911 to be offered for sale through a structured, tiered process. “We’re really excited to welcome in the new 911 Cup car in 2027 as it marks another new and exciting chapter in our rich history in Australian Motorsport,” said Porsche senior motorsport manager Craig Nayda. The new 992.2 model Porsche 911 Cup will be officially launched in Australia at Queensland Raceway on August 21 at the Ipswich Super440. When the new model begins racing in Carrera Cup, the current 992.1 machinery will migrate down to the second-tier Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge series.
