(ABC 6 Sports) – Jens Richards, the former Austin Bruin forward has signed an ECHL contract with the Idaho Steelheads, an affiliate of the Dallas Stars, for the 2026-2027 season. Richards spent two seasons in Austin where is scored 25 goals, racking up 29 assists and 54 points in his 100 appearances. Richards made his professional debut last season with the ECHL Fort Wayne Komets, appearing in seven games and tallying one assists. The former Bruin also made a stop with the University of Vermont Catamounts playing 121 games during his collegiate career, including being named Captian during his final year.
