The Code of Practice: Road and traffic management at Western Australian mines gives operators and other duty holders practical direction on managing the risks tied to roads, traffic and powered mobile plant. WA’s work health and safety laws already treat road and traffic management as a principal mining hazard because of its potential to cause multiple fatalities in a single incident. The code sets out a risk-based approach and guidance on building site-specific traffic management plans.
