A death investigation is underway following a McCracken County Detention Center inmate death. Kentucky State Police said that on Sunday troopers were contacted by the McCracken County Detention Center advising that an inmate had experienced an apparent medical episode and was transported to a local hospital where the inmate was pronounced deceased. The initial KSP investigation showed that the inmate, 35-year-old Brandon Bowman, of Paducah, “was in the presence of medical staff when he had a sudden apparent medical episode,” according to KSP. During the autopsy, “medical complications were discovered and no indication of foul play was found,” KSP said. The investigation is ongoing by KSP Det.
