White County officials approved speed limit reductions for three local roads following requests from parks officials. The adjustments affect South Fork Road, Jolly Road, and Scotts Gulf Road. The committee moved to set the speed limit at 25 mph for South Fork Road and Jolly Road, neither of which previously had an established limit. Scotts Gulf Road, which was previously set at 35 mph, will also be reduced to 25 mph. White said the stretch of Scotts Gulf Road in question extends approximately eight or nine miles toward the river.
