The Boston Red Sox are parting ways with one of their pitchers. The Red Sox have announced that they have designated pitcher Ryan Watson for assignment. Watson being designated for assignment by the Red Sox comes after the American League East team had a busy 2026 MLB Trade Deadline. The Red Sox also shared that newcomer Erik Miller will be replacing Watson on their active roster. It would not be surprising if another team ends up claiming him off waivers from the Red Sox.
