The Chiefs used their first two picks on the defensive side of the ball, taking defensive tackle Peter Woods with the No. Delane suffered a shoulder injury during OTAs and was a non-participant in mandatory minicamp. The rookie won't have another test on his shoulder for a "couple of weeks" to determine if the shoulder is healthy. It's possible, if he's cleared in two weeks, Delane could return for the Chiefs' second preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Aug. 22. Regardless, it's concerning that Delane will not be able to practice tackling for much of his first training camp after missing mandatory OTAs.
