She married the love of her life, Roy Schneider Jr., on April 2, 1983, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and devotion. Dorothy worked as a librarian, where she shared her love of learning with countless others. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory, including her children, Jennifer McKeithen (Japeth), Brian Schneider (Lori), Elizabeth Schneider, Patricia Lee (Seung Yull), and Bonnie Schneider.
