Benjamin Fane Goliwas Sr., affectionately known as Ben, Benjamin F., and Pops, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on June 29, 2026. Born on July 21, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Ben was the seventh of eight children born to Walter Joseph Goliwas Sr. and Mary Fane Goliwas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Mary Jo Thibodeaux, Colleen G. Holthaus, and Peggy G. Bourgeois, and his brothers Robert Edward Goliwas and William Joseph Goliwas. He is survived by his sister, Frances Joy Goliwas, and his brother, Walter Joseph Goliwas Jr. Ben's heart was full of the love of his family, including his children Elizabeth Goliwas Bodet (Robert †), Benjamin Fane Goliwas Jr. (Holly), Laura Goliwas Kuhlke (Chris), Andrew Alvin Goliwas (Madeleine), and Ynyra OShea.
